What about Frosty?
Frosty the Snowman, an original adaptation of the famous holiday tale,
was written by COS volunteer, Rob Howard. First performed during the
1995/96 season, the show has become a holiday tradition for children and
their families. The story takes place in "Glenville" where there is a
train station managed by "Mr. Bucket." Two Glenville children, with
some assistance from the town's eccentric Miss Pappetto, stumble upon
Frosty and bring him to life. Frosty is tempted to leave his new
friends and join the Magical Musical Menagerie managed by a colorful,
boisterous and very persuasive character, Magnificent Max. Frosty's
decision is complicated by the sneaky town paper boy and some performers
in Max's Menagerie. The play is enlivened by some recognizable holiday
songs along with several original musical numbers.
